Outside the Senayan City mall. Perhaps so ladies carrying the big fancy handbags that are popular now don't wear themselves out before they get to the Versace and Gucci stores.

I see the "up" escalator is on the left. That must lead to some terrific crack-ups as Americans try to go up the down or down the up. You really have to watch your step over there.
Oh yes, it's a walk-on-the-left (as well as drive-on-the-left) country for sure. I used to crash into people all the time. Now I've adjusted, so I expect to crash into people when we visit in July!
