Self-improvement

Chad and I are off at language school in Yogyakarta for the week, so I may not be able to post too much. It's great being able to focus on that for a few days -- it's a lot of listening and talking, which is what I need, and some grammar, which I also need even if I don't like it. More later!

have fun in language school!

maybe over breakfast one day you can discuss nose cereal, toenail cereal, etc.... you'd at least learn lots of body part names.

Yes, anon -- I'm working at the Post and doing a little reporting and other stuff on the side. Where's your hometown? When were you in Jakarta?

And Monika, it was nice to meet you. I like the blog, which I'll talk more about here soon. Keep in touch!

I have a name now (previously anon.) My hometown is Jakarta. I left about 7 years ago for school. It's been 2 years since i last went home. Thus, the homesickness. I miss all the food!! :P Anyhow, keep up the good writing. Try some in Indonesian maybe. Now that you've gone to language school.

Yes, I want to learn how to cook some of the food so I'll be able to make it when we're back in the US. I don't think we will be able to get really good tempe, though. I love the tempe here.

Blogging in Indonesian is actually kind of tempting ... I might try it one of these days.
