Caught wet!

What do you mean, wallet and cell phone? I don't know anything about a wallet and cell phone!

In Indonesia, you're not caught red-handed, you're ditangkap basah: caught wet. Thus it is with me and the blog: as you may have noticed, I haven't posted in a while, heh.

I really like my new job with an English-language newspaper that's set to launch in Indonesia soon. But it seems to suck all the brains out of my head, so I have nothing left to blog with when I get home. As I get settled in, though, I hope to get back into the blogging routine. There is much to write about, including the witchcraft market, a ladyboy show in Thailand, spicy coconut duck-egg pancakes, and of course, THE CAT.

More soon!

yay!!! susu is back! in addition to all of *your* news (your new job, blah blah blah), please fill us in on what-all susu's been up to these last few months. she's clearly got access to money and a phone, but i haven't rec'd any calls. does she go on internet shopping sprees? redecorate the apartment? host dinner parties?
or simply pose for countless cute kitty photos...?

Oh, Susu has been up to her usual stuff. Since brokering that ceasefire in Georgia, she's just been working on a few low-level trade deals and diplomatic initiatives. Also, she sleeps a lot, and licks herself.

Recently she went through an intense period of yanking all the Kleenex out of the Kleenex-boxes, one at a time. Luckily, she's kind of over that now.

Also, we turned her on to catnip recently. It doesn't really make her crazy, but it mellows her out quite a bit, which can be useful when we have guests over!
