Little green men

These diminutive tubes of toothpaste are from the hovel -- er, hotel -- where we stayed in Taipei on our way back from the States. The fact that they were made by the Taipei Daily Chemical Company was a bit worrisome, but they seemed to be ordinary toothpaste.

And since Flavalicious Luscious Lychee hasn't been on the market for a while now, I've had to get used to ordinary toothpaste again.

Any durian flavored toothpaste available?

No, we still haven't found any durian toothpaste -- just durian-jelly donuts (at Dunkin Donuts!) and durian-flavored condoms. Do they make lucuma toothpaste in Peru?

There's a pan-Asian ultimate frisbee team called Force Durian that pulls together now and then to play a tournament, and they often hand out durian flavoured condoms at tournament after-parties... Sounds like a great way to slam the brakes on a random post-tournament pick-up...

All I could immediately think of was "soilent green" :)

Over my shoulder, J piped in that it looks like super glue!

Yes, I've often wondered if the durian condom was a backhanded effort at discouraging conjugal relations.

Green Man is people! And it does look a bit like superglue. Fortunately I still have full mouth mobility; I'd hate to be sipping my favorite hard boiled eggs in chili sauce through a straw...
