Back from Yogya

Sorry for the lapse in blogging! Every time I tried to upload pictures down in Yogya, the computer would crash.

Chad's still down in the earthquake zone, but I've come back to Jakarta to work. We're both fine, but tired - the pace there is pretty intense.

I've blogged about some earthquake stuff on the Merapi Blog, so click on over there for the latest.

Here's a picture of toppled mosque pillars in the little town we visited outside Bantul.

Good to hear you made it back safe. I had a brief chat with Chat this morning. Sounds like the news reporting is starting to slack a little bit. Hopefully he'll be able to get back to Jakarta soon.
Take care,

Thanks! Yes, I think he'll be here tomorrow (Sunday). It's weird to log onto Google News and see stuff about Angelina Jolie reserving a website for her new baby, but see nothing about the quake. That's not a complaint, really. I confess to reading the occasional Branglina baby story myself. It's just weird. The window for reaching a huge audience is so short. So we need to think strategically about getting as much of the human side into the first stories as possible.

It'll be great to have Chad back.
